Cascade Canyon Launches Strategic Planning Process

On October 18th, Cascade Canyon School board members held a special retrospective meeting inviting panelists Peggy Tunder, Linda Franco, Maureen Healy and Sharon Reynolds-Kyle to share the major milestones in the school's past, lessons learned, and key aspects of the school's vision to hold onto as the school moves into the future. This event marked the beginning of a year-long strategic planning process to lay out the direction for the next five years of Cascade Canyon School. The Board has hired consultant Tom Little, Director of Park Day School in Oakland, and a leading expert on school design and progressive education, to facilitate the strategic planning process. On November 15th, a visioning group, with representatives from the school staff, parents and the Board, will begin to work collaboratively to lay out the strategic plan. Tom has worked with Cascade Canyon School in the past as a guest speaker, observer and facilitator; Cascade Canyon School enthusiastically welcomes Tom back and looks forward to the great work that will emerge out of this process.
